Hi, I’m Rythea Lee!

I’m an artist, activist, influencer, therapist, and mother using humor and performance to help people heal.

My website includes resources for healing trauma, parenting, art-making, empowerment, general inspiration, laughter, and sane-making connection. You’ll also find live performance work and music that came before all my video-making, go watch it!

Thank you for exploring! Your visit here matters.

MY STORY.

MY STORY.

I am a non-coercive, collaborative mom to a tween kid. Through my own journey of facing a difficult childhood, and undoing patterns of oppression, I have come to not only cherish the moments of laughter in my life, but also dive deep into the fun of living.

I have been a trauma specialist for 28 years in private practice, serving people all over the country. I earned my Masters in Spiritual Psychology, and am a certified InnerBonding® counselor. My work focusses on trauma education, parts work, and learning daily tools for regulation.

In 2023, my point of view on parenting went viral on TikTok, and a whole platform of eager parents became part of my life. I now facilitate on-line support groups, mentor parents on the phone, and post in-depth and funny videos about my approach on YouTube.

MY WORK.

MY WORK.

I help parents transition from control-based, power-over parenting to non-coercion and collaboration.

My approach is funny, creative, informative, empathetic, and will deeply shift how you parent!

I facilitate parenting and therapeutic support groups, writing workshops, and peer counseling courses as well as performance art intensives and one-on-on parent-mentor sessions.

Trauma Into Truth:
Gutsy Healing

My book Trauma Into Truth: Gutsy Healing is a non-traumatizing book for survivors of trauma and childhood sexual abuse who need a lay of the land.

The book asks what does healing look like? What does being triggered mean? How can I trust what I know when attempting to come out of denial?

The book also features original artwork by me!

The Six Steps to

Inner Bonding

This free resource is my version of the six steps of inner bonding based on Margaret Paulʼs six step chart.

This resource is used in the Inner Bonding workshops that I co-facilitate, and can remain a guide in your own self-regulation toolkit.

I’ve collected a list of resources that I value for my own development towards a non-coercive parenting philosophy.
