For Parents: I am an unschooling/homeschooling Mom who practices non-coercive parenting. This is a big part of my path; to foster my daughter’s autonomy, creativity, and learning while guiding her from a non-authoritarian perspective. This is hard work that requires me (as the parent) to educate myself deeply on the repercussions of authoritarian parenting and the options that are possible if I do something other than that. It turns out, there is a rich, somewhat uncharted world of alternatives to mainstream parenting and schooling that bring profound closeness, play, collaboration, and joy to parenting. It has changed my family’s and my life for the better every day.
